Making an impact

item3e

We are all aware of the benefits gained from leading an active lifestyle. As teachers our challenge is to make Physical Education an integral part of the curriculum and to provide opportunities for children to participate in and experience a wide range of activities beyond the curriculum.

To assist in achieving High Quality Physical Education we have produced this toolkit designed to give ideas and provide resources that are user friendly for the non-specialist PE teacher.

Victoria Park Infants School has successfully embedded Physical Education in the whole curriculum and beyond it, making a positive impact on the attitudes of staff, pupils and parents. Although the school has limited space and facilities, they have been creative in their planning and delivery of PE and have been praised by OFSTED for their outstanding achievements in this area of the curriculum.

We are grateful to Victoria Park Infants School for allowing us access to their planning and resources so other schools can learn from this good practice and can benefit from their success.

The Ashton Park School Sport Partnership is committed to raising standards in PE and to increasing participation in physical activity. This toolkit will support your planning and delivery of High Quality Physical Education in your school.
