Schemes of work

There are many different schemes of work that have been produced by different Partnerships and LEAs.

Victoria Park the staff uses a Bristol City SOW as a guideline.

What should be included in a scheme of work?

• Whole School PE Overview
• Curriculum Map for each year group
• Long Term Planning KS1 – KS2 – the early learning goals and the national programmes of study for KS1 and KS2 to be written for each breadth of study along with learning objectives and linked learning activities with outcomes. (From this medium term planning can be written)
• Core Tasks for each year group and breadth of study
• References to Tops Cards and other schemes such as the LCP or Durham Lesson Plans
• Key vocabulary for gym, dance and games
• Useful resources
• Class evaluation sheet
